The United States Power Squadrons^® (USPS) is a non-profit organization devoted to boating education and promoting safe boating. It is comprised of 33 districts and over 400 squadrons. USPS is the nation's largest boating education organization offering several boating courses to non-members and dozens of advanced, elective and supplemental courses to our members. Fox Valley Sail & Power Squadron is one of the 18 squadrons of District 20, which covers Central and Northern Illinois, the Northwestern corner of Indiana, and the Southeastern corner of Wisconsin. The USPS map illustrates the location of Fox Valley, specific locations of squadrons in District 20, and all districts and squadrons across the country. Fox Valley Sail & Power Squadron members are spread throughout Northwestern Illinois, generally hold dinner meetings in the Elgin/Schaumburg area, and take pleasure in boating on the Chain of Lakes and Lake Michigan.

Upcoming events:

The Strictly Sail Show will be held at Navy Pier on January 26-29.

For another new venue, join us at the Millrose Restaurant in South Barrington for our Annual Meeting on February 3rd. Details are in the February edition of Tales of the Fox.

Fox Valley's Change of Watch is scheduled for March 3 at the Bridges of Poplar Creek Country Club. This is our big celebration and swearing in of the newly elected bridge.
